Ingredients
- 12 whole Fresh Figs
- 6 slices Prosciutto
- 4 oz Goat Cheese
- 2 tbsp Balsamic Glaze
- 1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Pecans (optional) (chopped)
- 1 cup Arugula (optional) (for serving)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2
Wash and gently dry the figs. Make a shallow X cut on the top of each fig, without cutting all the way through.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix goat cheese with honey and black pepper until well combined.
- 4
Spoon or pipe a small amount of the goat cheese mixture into the center of each fig.
- 5
Cut each slice of prosciutto in half lengthwise. Wrap each fig with a half slice of prosciutto, securing it around the base.
- 6
Place the wrapped figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 7
Drizzle lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
- 8
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the prosciutto is slightly crispy and the figs are warmed through.
- 9
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- 10
Drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with fresh rosemary. Serve warm on a bed of arugula, if desired, and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Tips & Notes
- •For a sweeter flavor, brush the figs with a bit of honey before wrapping with prosciutto.
- •If you don't have goat cheese, you can use cream cheese or mascarpone.
