- 1/4 cup Red Onion
- 1/2 cup Roma Tomato
- 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
- 1 Jalapeño
- 2 tablespoons Lime Juice
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- pinch Cayenne Pepper
- few dashes Hot Sauce
- 1 bag Tortilla Chips
- to taste Black Pepper
Instructions
- 1
Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium-sized bowl.
- 2
Using a fork, mash the avocados to your desired consistency - chunky or smooth.
- 3
Add the finely chopped red onion, diced Roma tomato, and chopped cilantro to the bowl.
- 4
Stir in the minced jalapeño, minced garlic, lime juice, sea salt, ground cumin, cayenne pepper (if using), and hot sauce (if using).
- 5
Season with black pepper to taste.
- 6
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- 7
Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more lime juice for tanginess, salt for flavor, or jalapeño for heat.
- 8
Serve immediately with gluten-free tortilla chips or store in the refrigerator for later. To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole.
Tips & Notes
- •To choose ripe avocados, gently squeeze them. They should yield to gentle pressure but not feel mushy.
- •If you don't have lime juice, lemon juice can be used as a substitute.
- •For a smoother guacamole, use a food processor.
