Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups Gluten-free all-purpose flour blend (with xanthan gum)
- 1/2 cup Tapioca starch
- 2 1/4 teaspoons Instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/4 cups Warm water (105-115°F)
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons Cornmeal (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour blend, tapioca starch, yeast, sugar, salt, Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
- 2
Add the warm water, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar to the dry ingredients. Mix with a wooden spoon or spatula until a sticky dough forms.
- 3
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- 4
Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven while it preheats.
- 5
Lightly dust a clean surface with gluten-free flour. Gently turn the dough out onto the floured surface.
- 6
Divide the dough in half. Press or roll each half into a 12-inch circle or oval.
- 7
Sprinkle cornmeal onto a pizza peel or another baking sheet. Carefully transfer the pizza crusts to the prepared surface.
- 8
Top with your favorite pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings.
- 9
Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Tips & Notes
- •For a crispier crust, bake directly on a pizza stone. If you don't have a pizza stone, a baking sheet works fine.
- •If the dough is too sticky to handle, lightly flour your hands. Be careful not to add too much flour, or the crust will be dry.
- •Adjust baking time depending on your oven and desired level of browning.
