- 1/2 cup Almond Milk
- 1/4 cup Maple Syrup (or agave nectar)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Espresso Powder (optional, enhances chocolate flavor)
- 1/4 teaspoon Pinch of Salt
- 1/4 medium Avocado (ripe)
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Cream (full fat)
- as needed Optional Toppings (fresh berries, chocolate shavings, whipped cream)
Instructions
- 1
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- 2
In a high-speed blender or food processor, combine the drained silken tofu, melted chocolate, cocoa powder, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, espresso powder (if using), salt, avocado, and coconut cream.
- 3

- 4
Taste and adjust sweetness if desired, adding more maple syrup to your liking.
- 5
Pour the mixture into individual serving dishes or one larger bowl.
- 6
Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the custard to prevent a skin from forming.
- 7
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the custard to set.
- 8
Before serving, remove from the refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes to soften slightly.
- 9
Garnish with fresh berries, chocolate shavings, or whipped cream, if desired.
