Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Warm Water
- 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 oz packet Active Dry Yeast
- 2 cups (285g) Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil (for brushing)
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated, optional)
Instructions
- 1
Position a pizza stone or sturdy baking sheet on the lowest oven rack, then preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- 2
In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar and yeast in warm water. Let it stand for about 5 minutes, until the mixture becomes foamy.
- 3
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the gluten-free flour and salt.
- 4
Add the egg, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
- 5
Mix on low speed for approximately 1 minute, or until a dough forms.
- 6
Lightly oil a piece of parchment paper. Transfer the pizza dough onto the prepared parchment paper.
- 7
Using oiled hands (to prevent sticking), gently press and stretch the dough into a 10-12 inch circle or oval. Don’t worry about perfection!
- 8
Carefully slide the parchment paper with the dough onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
- 9
Bake for 10 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden.
- 10
Remove from the oven, brush the top with olive oil, then sprinkle generously with mozzarella cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Add parmesan cheese if desired.
- 11
Return to the oven and bake for another 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- 12
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice into breadsticks, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Tips & Notes
- •For a crispier crust, bake directly on the pizza stone without parchment paper (requires a bit more skill to transfer).
- •Customize your cheesy breadsticks with your favorite toppings like pepperoni, olives, or bell peppers.
- •Store leftover breadsticks in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
