- 1 1/2 cups Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar
- 6 tablespoons Cold Unsalted Butter (cut into small cubes)
- 1 1/2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
- 3/4 cup Buttermilk (cold)
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 tablespoon Dried Chives (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Melted Butter (for brushing)

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
