Ingredients
- 4 Ripe Bananas
- 1/4 cup Full-fat Coconut Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/8 teaspoon Pinch of Sea Salt
- 1-2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon Almond Butter
- 1/4 cup Dairy-Free Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 cup Chopped Walnuts
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Flakes
Instructions
- 1
Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into 1-inch thick pieces.
- 2
Place the banana slices in a freezer-safe bag or container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, until completely frozen.
- 3
Once the bananas are frozen solid, remove them from the freezer and let them sit for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly.
- 4
Place the frozen banana slices, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt into a high-powered blender or food processor.
- 5
Blend on high speed, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides, until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This may take a few minutes.
- 6
Taste and adjust sweetness by adding maple syrup as needed. Blend to combine.
- 7
Stir in almond butter and cinnamon.
- 8
Fold in dairy-free chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
- 9
Serve immediately for a soft-serve consistency, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for another hour for a firmer texture.
- 10
Garnish with coconut flakes before serving.
